1. He was the first State Leprosy Officer of State Health Society – National Leprosy Eradication Pro gramme in U.T. Chandigarh.

2. He was the first Programme Officer of Sexually Transmitted Diseases Clinic, GMSH - 16 in U.T. Chandigarh.

3. He was the Founder Head (HOD) of the Department of Dermatology, GMCH, Sector – 32, Chandigarh.

4. He was the first Medical Officer to open a Dermato Surgery Clinic in GMCH, Sector – 32, Chandigarh.

In recognition of his untiring efforts and services, he has been awarded with various State Honors namely:-

• "State Award" and "Commendation Certificate" by honorable Justice (Retd.), the Governor-cum-Administrator , U.T. Chandigarh on the occasion of Independence Day 15th August, 2004.
• "State Award" and "Commendation Certificate" by Advisor to Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh on the occasion of Independence Day 15th August , 1993 in the field of Treatment of leprosy patients.
• Letter of appreciation by Dr. J.S. Ratra, Regional Consultant, National Leprosy Eradication Programme, GOI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for – Best work in leprosy in whole of North India comprising States of J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Chandigarh.
• Lions Club of Panchkula Central, Chandigarh for services in the medical field.
• More than 50 publications published in International and National journals.
• He was the founder president of Chandigarh Dermatological Society.
• He is also the founder president of OLOF Old Student Association.
